Away from the Vending Machines

Have you ever been stuck in a hotel room located directly next to or behind the vending machine area? If so, you know how difficult it can be to get a good night of sleep with the ice machine whirling on the wall opposite your head.

Many of today’s newer hotels recognize the need to keep these areas separate from living quarters. Older hotels, on the other hand, find themselves making renovations, installing mass loaded vinyl or Green Glue products in order to buffer the sounds.

Creating a noise barrier is incredibly important. It’ll keep travelers happy and, hopefully, will turn them into return customers.

Soundproofing in the Trump Tower

Did you know that the Trump Tower hotels in both Las Vegas and Chicago feature soundproofing on all of their hotel floors? This is incredible news for weary travelers tired of hearing their neighbors and those in the hotel restaurants making noises at all hours of the day.

Trump installed a series of noise abatement products. While we still think they should have used Green Glue noise proofing measures, we’re still glad to see some of the world’s leading hotel chains paying closer attention to the needs of their overnight guests!
