Is Vehicle Soundproofing Safe?

We’re usually huge advocates of soundproof vehicles. No one wants to be distracted by engine noise while driving. The truth, though, is that some people take vehicle soundproofing a bit too far – and it simply isn’t safe.

If you’re cruising down the road at 70-mph, in your soundproof cabin, with your radio blaring, how will you hear the sound of an approaching police car or ambulance? If you’re not paying attention to the road, will you slow down near an accident scene? If not, you’ll end up hitting one of the emergency workers trying desperately to save lives.

Vehicle soundproofing is OK, but only if used wisely. Are you paying attention to the road?
